Some bananas, a pot of honey, eggs or olive oil, you don’t need any more ingredients to make up a quick, economical and natural face mask.

A face mask will be ineffective on a skin that is not made up. Before application, remove impurities and makeup residues from your skin to help penetrate the moisturizing properties of the skin care.

These home-made treatments are made with natural ingredients and without preservatives. Don’t wait too long before using them.

Banana and avocado mask

Avocado and banana are two fruits particularly renowned for their moisturizing properties. The fatty acids of the avocado and vitamins B, C and E of the banana will nourish and soften the skin. Mix a whole avocado with half a banana and leave the mask on for 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water.

You can also add a tablespoon of honey, an ingredient known for its soothing and healing effect.

The moisturizing power of cucumber

A key ingredient in Alicia Keys’ routine care, cucumber, composed of more than 90% water, contains antioxidant and moisturizing benefits that are very effective in fighting dry skin and dull complexion.

Peel a cucumber -preferably bio- and mix it. Apply the mixture to the face. If it is not liquid enough, mix it with organic plain yogurt or with a few drops of vegetable oil such as castor.
Leave for 20 minutes then rinse with warm water.

An egg face mask

Egg yolk contains effective moisturizing properties to nourish and brighten dry skin. Do not apply the mixture alone on your face. Drying this one will form a kind of crust particularly difficult to remove, especially at the eyebrows.

To avoid this inconvenience, dilute two egg yolks to a vegetable oil like argan oil for example. The texture will be oilier and the nourishing properties of the oil will strengthen the moisturizing effect of this homemade mask.

Honey and olive oil to soothe the skin

The moisturizing and soothing properties of olive oil, combined with the antibacterial and healing properties of honey, will nourish and soften the skin.

Mix four tablespoons of honey with two tablespoons of olive oil and apply 20 minutes to your skin before rinsing with warm water. You can also lightly heat the mixture in a double boiler or microwave. The heat will open the pores of the skin and make the moisturizers penetrate deeper.

Green tea and honey for a radiant complexion

Your green tea bag once brewed can also be reused in routine care. The antioxidant properties of green tea will protect the skin from skin aging.

Open your tea bag and mix it with a few spoonfuls of honey. Enough for the mixture to become pasty enough to stand on your face. Leave on for 20 minutes and rinse with warm water.
