Dilated pores, brilliance, acne, black spots. Oily skin is a concentrate of problems that do not concern only teenage girls. Here are ten tips for treating oily skin.

It is not always easy to live with oily or oily skin because it is prone to many imperfections, including glistenings and the appearance of small pimples on the middle zone of the face ( T zone) which includes the forehead, nose, and chin. Fortunately, with good hygiene and a specific care routine, it is possible to regulate it.

The causes of oily skin

The oily skin is characterized by excessive secretion of sebum caused by pollution, stress and/or hormonal factors that give rise to many imperfections: shine, pimples, dull complexion.

Tips for treating oily skin

To take care of its oily skin, it must be purified with suitable products, but do not remove it at the risk of causing what is called the “rebound effect”, that is to say, an overproduction of sebum.

1. Clean your skin every day

The golden rule against oily skin: regulate the production of sebum, responsible for the appearance of black spots and company. To do this, clean your face thoroughly morning and evening. Start with the makeup remover to unblock pores and breathe the skin. Then wash your face with a non-comedogenic cleanser (such as a gel). Finally, apply a purifying lotion. Once a week, make a mask, preferably with clay or coal, for an immediate burst of brightness.

2. moisturize your face

Beware of conventional ideas! The oily skin is also thirsty. Don’t forget to hydrate it daily, morning and evening. Put on a fat-free cream with a mattifying effect. This will allow you to hide these glistens that make you look bad.

3. Choose the right exfoliant

Remember: the scrub, to be done once a week, is a precious “beautiful skin” ally. Be careful to choose a product that suits your skin type. Faces and necks strewn with pimples are too sensitive for shock therapy. To gently cleanse your skin, choose an exfoliating lotion instead.

4. Don’t touch your buttons

Facing a button, resisting the temptation to pierce it is difficult! But if you touch it, you risk making the situation worse. Why? First, because you ignite the button by making it more visible. Second, because it will cause scars. To get out without complex problems, apply a camouflage product. Stick correctors are perfect to hide small imperfections!

5. Eat in balance

We will never tire of saying it: fried and fatty foods, sodas and alcohol are the worst enemies of a dream complexion! Avoid abusing it. It is true, there is no miracle diet against oily skin. But eating balanced can help you. Don’t forget to drink at least 1.5 liters of water a day. Your skin will be grateful.

6. Say goodbye to the compact foundation

Hiding imperfections under layers of the foundation is not a good trick. On the one hand, it makes a mask effect not very nice. On the other hand, it suffocates the skin and encrusts the pores. Prefer fluid and light foundation. They will standardize your complexion without oppressing it. Note: there are specific products for oily skin with a mattifying effect.

7. Have a light hand on makeup

The speech we made about the foundation applies to all makeup. The oily skin should not be overloaded. To perfect your complexion, rely on a mineral powder and a mineral blush. Cream cosmetics would only accentuate imperfections. For eye makeup, beware of the kool and everything that is likely to sink.

8. Beware of the sun

The sun is a boon against pimples… But in the short term! When you go on holiday, you find peach skin. Once you get home, the acne explodes. So think about protecting yourself from the sun. Every day, use cosmetics (moisturizing creams, anti-aging creams, foundation…) containing an SPF 30 or 50. At sea, spread yourself with a high-protection cream.

9. Consult a dermatologist

Stress, bad eating habits, and a flawed beauty routine can be at the root of problem skin. But rash explosions can result from a more complex situation, such as a hormonal disturbance. In case of severe acne, go to the dermatologist. He may prescribe a treatment adapted to your skin problems.

10. Read labels carefully

When shopping for beauty, be very careful because you will have to read the labels to find the right products for your skin. Treatments containing salicylic acid (anti-inflammatory) or thermal water (soothing) will delight your skin. On the other hand, flee those that contain alcohol, aggressive and irritating.
